Fast Busy does two very cool things. First it aggregates all the apartments posted to Craig's List, then it plots a graph showing volume versus price. May in Haight Ashbury seems like a good time to have looked for a place.

Everyone moves during springtime in SF. It's what I should have done, but I couldn't wait.

The Upper Haight is in-between USF & UCSF. Both are about 5-minute walks from the main intersection in the nieghborhood, Haight-Masonic. I would imagine that influences the cycles of folks moving in and out. It doesn't really explain why there's such a shortage in July & August, but it might have something to do with why there's a surplus in May.
